Roman numerals are a number system that ancient Romans used. Numbers are represented by combinations of letters from the Latin alphabet. All numbers can be written as a combination of the seven letter symbols: I=1, V=5, X=10, L=50, C=100, D=500, and M=1000. The letters can be capitalized or lower case.
